Dining at Rombe Rooftop Restaurant | Burwood Brickworks

Elevate your dining experience

We are pleased to welcome Rombe to the rooftop at Burwood Brickworks. Rombe is an all-day dining destination and event space championing modern-Australian cooking. The rustic rooftop restaurant has been purposefully created to bring people together, creating a unique culinary experience that will be remembered long after you’ve left.

Offering a faraway feel to our urban centre, the verdant rooftop is now home to two separate spaces to service the community: an all-day restaurant, Rombe, and a functions venue set in a Glass House. As a restaurant and event space, Rombe caters not only to morning risers, lovers and diners, but to anyone seeking an elevated experience above bustling Burwood Brickworks while basking in the breathtaking ambience that only a rooftop setting can provide.

Rombe rustic rooftop restaurant

Boasting a design that is romantic in its charm, Rombe’s light-filled dining room is encased in windows that offer vistas of the rooftop garden and the Dandenong Ranges, while outdoor seating right alongside the rooftop garden itself offers an immersive experience that transports guests away from the bustle of daily life.

The all-day menu champions the best of locally sourced, seasonal produce and is matched with an impressive drinks list. Diners can look forward to high-quality ingredients combined with modern Australian cooking techniques culminating in approachable yet creative dishes.

Behind the menu is Head Chef Jerry Yi (ex Shihuishi and Red Spice Road) who brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the kitchen team.

For breakfast, diners can expect all the classics alongside an array of seasonal dishes such as a ricotta hotcakes; vadouvan eggs; or crowd favourite salmon pastrami with soft egg, crispy layered potato rosti and shaved pickled fennel salad.

Onto lunch, choose from daily made salads such tuna niçoise with soft egg, avocado, heirloom tomato and lemon oil. For larger meals, opt for the yellow fin tuna spaghetti; a double cheeseburger and fries; or charcoal grilled red snapper with potato mash, greens and orange jus.

For dessert, select a rotating cabinet of daily made cakes. At Rombe, the cakes are not just dessert but masterpieces that capture both the eye and the palate. There’s also a dedicated kid’s menu for the little ones, because the whole family is welcome, at Rombe.

With indoor and alfresco seating, Rombe is the perfect spot to head for brunch or a long lunch with family and friends. With a capacity of 120 seated and 300 standing, the venue can also be reconfigured to suit private events and is available for restaurant buy-outs.
